{"id":2931,"date":"2023-01-16T19:09:05","date_gmt":"2023-01-16T19:09:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/davidzarko.us\/WP\/?p=2931"},"modified":"2023-01-16T19:09:05","modified_gmt":"2023-01-16T19:09:05","slug":"repair-january-ii","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/davidzarko.us\/WP\/2023\/01\/16\/repair-january-ii\/","title":{"rendered":"Repair &#8211; January II"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wednesday, January 11<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I ran across a passage in&nbsp;<em>Recovering from Parkinson&#8217;s&nbsp;<\/em>about how scar tissue along the Stomach Channel can block the qi or make it run backwards: \u201cthe channel qi can eventually start to get backed up and then set in motion the various channel qi and muscle behaviors that ordinarily should only occur during pause.\u201d I had a huge spider bite just below the waist, left side, July 2013 and hernial surgery, same side\/area, November 2014, so that sounded important. I wrote Janice. She encouraged me to find an acupuncturist to examine and correct this, if needed. I replied that the finding an acupuncturist who speaks English would be the challenge. \u201cAsk your Friend to make it happen.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Okay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, as we were preparing for a walk I asked my Friend to help me find an acupuncturist who speaks English. On the way home a neighbor stopped in her car. I asked how she was. \u201cJust got back from an orthopedist. He also does acupuncture.\u201d And he speaks English and is based in Orvieto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Thursday, January 12<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is written that when experiencing limpness (a recovery symptom I know too well) should something happen the brain categorizes as an emergency, normal movement will kick in to resolve the crisis. So, today the door bell rang. I was in the recliner which I cannot rise from without using its eject function. Roman was in the kitchen with the door closed and didn&#8217;t hear the bell. I was expecting a delivery from a place to which packages have been returned before when no one was home. The bell rang again. I was on my feet and at the intercom before I knew what happened. Rather a thrill, that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Friday &amp; Saturday, January 13 &amp; 14<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Limp!!! (And back to work on my novel.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Sunday, January 15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Limp and light-headed around the house, steady and walking well in the garage; right arm has tightened hardly at all this week. Slept a straight eight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Monday, January 16<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wide awake until 05:00, no thoughts or real discomfort, just raw energy. Hungry all day.
